John Perry is a lecturer in sports coaching and performance at the University of Hull. He has a PhD in psychology and over ten years' experience in lecturing in sport psychology. His main research areas are mental toughness, coping with stress, sports personship, and statistical methods. His research has been published in numerous international journals and presented at many conferences, and he has worked with athletes from a wide range of sports. John is a chartered psychologist, a chartered scientist, an accredited sport and exercise scientist, a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society.
